Daikin Refrigeration Malaysia committed to ensure safety and health of those with access to the workplace including workers, contractors, visitors and other persons who can be affected by the activities of the organization. At Daikin, we strive to create ‘Zero Accident’  workplace through safety and health policy implementation to ensure safe working environment.

DRM has participated in DAIKIN Group Global Safety Activity, Safety Step Up 2025, to achieve ZERO accidents. Some of the advantages of this activity are ensuring employees’ safety and secure factory management and contributing to safety and productivity.

Two model lines in our production line are self-evaluated monthly to check the status of levels 1 to 5. DRM focused on improving the two model lines to achieve Level 5 for Safety Step Up 2025 and concurrently initiating Safety Step Up Evaluation to other production lines.

DRM has participated in the Systematic Occupational Health Enhancement Level Programme Do It Yourself (SOHELP DIY), organized by DOSH, since June 2021. This program emphasizes three elements which are elements of Noise Exposure Management, Chemicals, and Ergonomics in the workplace.

On 7th April 2022, DRM received an award and certificate of appreciation for being two out of 27 participating companies that achieved Level 5 (Excellent) in the SOHELP DIY Program FY2021 for all three elements. DRM also has been nominated as the best workplace finalist at the National SOHELP DIY Convention 2022.

This achievement is resulted from all DRM members’ continuous cooperation and support in establishing SHE excellence of the plant.
