Daikin Refrigeration Malaysia committed to ensure safety and healthy working environment for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health by consultation and participation from workers and interested parties including local authorities, suppliers, contractors and clients. At Daikin, we strive to uphold the best practice to ensure ‘Zero Accident’ at our workplace.
DRM has successfully organized Safety & Health Month 2025 in July as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) culture across the organization. The key activities included the SHE DOJO Refresher Briefing, featuring short interactive sessions and Kahoot games to reinforce safe work practices, as well as a Hand Safety Exhibition Booth that highlighted common hand injury risks and the correct selection of gloves through hands-on learning.
In addition, the Kilometer Streak Challenge encouraged employees to stay active and set personal health goals over a one-week period. The month was further energized by visual safety campaigns, including a hand-stamp banner displayed at the production area, symbolizing collective commitment to safety and health across the workplace.
This successful program is resulted from all DRM members’ continuous cooperation and support in establishing SHE excellence across the organization.

aikin Refrigeration Malaysia proudly hosted the DRMBT Safety & Health Month from 5th to 30th August 2024, with the goal of promoting safety awareness and fostering a strong culture of health and safety across the workplace. The month featured a variety of engaging programs, including the Safety Video Contest, Stay Healthy Week, Overhead Crane & Hoist Safety Training, and Weekly Safety & Health Quizzes.
Employees actively participated in these initiatives, learning valuable safety practices and contributing to a safer working environment. Highlights included the 7-Day Step Challenge, encouraging everyone to stay active, and the Short Video Contest, where teams creatively showcased best practices in workplace safety. Weekly quiz winners and contest participants were recognized during the closing ceremony, with prizes awarded to top performers.
We extend our gratitude to all participants for their enthusiasm and cooperation. Together, we continue to make safety a priority for everyone at Daikin.
DRM has participated in the Systematic Occupational Health Enhancement Level Programme Do It Yourself (SOHELP DIY), organized by DOSH, since June 2021. This program emphasizes three elements which are elements of Noise Exposure Management, Chemicals, and Ergonomics in the workplace.
On 7th April 2022, DRM received an award and certificate of appreciation for being two out of 27 participating companies that achieved Level 5 (Excellent) in the SOHELP DIY Program FY2021 for all three elements. DRM also has been nominated as the best workplace finalist at the National SOHELP DIY Convention 2022.
